Windows Longhorn Server is the successor to Windows Server 2003, based on Windows Vista, which is due to go RTM 6 to 9 Months after Windows Vista.

The Development Time is much reduced, since Windows Vista itself is now based on the Windows Server 2003 SP1 codebase.
