MS-DOS 3.3 deputed on the original IBM PS/2 models (PC-DOS) and adds extended and logical partitions, so discs larger than 32 megabytes maybe used if they are partitioned to be more than one. It also adds support for high density 3 1⁄2 inch 1.44 MB floppy disk drives, directory tree copying with XCOPY and networked file flush operations. Alternative set of characters may now be used thanks to the COUNTRY.SYS driver. It became the standard DOS for a while as MS-DOS 4.00 was found to be buggy and MS-DOS 3.31 was only available to OEMs.
