Internet Explorer 3.0 was the first 'major' release, and began the golden age of the Internet, competing directly against Netscape's Navigator
IE 3.0 included Internet Mail and new, NetMeeting, and Windows Media Player. It was also now capable of displaying GIF and JPEG Images, as well as playing MIDI files, without a seperate application. CSS Support was also included.
